3040 "Freaked Out Scientists"
12" x 12" x 1.5". Acrylic on panel. The painting was inspired during one Pandemic lockdown, when governments were "following the science" and the essential role of science to guide society was centre stage. I was often amused to see how scientists disagree! I began this work by creating strong structural shapes and I wanted a large green area to symbolise nature and land. The freely painted shapes and spaces being scanned by the eyes suggested to me areas of scientific uncertainty, inhabited with forms representing media publication.
