47" x 39" x 2". Acrylic on canvas. I made this painting as a response to dramatic broadcast news reports describing a war-zone and I was moved by personal stories I heard of courage and suffering. I developed the composition from a number of contrasting shapes which reflected elements in the stories. Picasso's mural "Geurnica" was an influence.
